OVERVIEW

As part of final project, we created a promotional video for our mobile application called YouGo. The main objective of the video is to capture how easy and accessible are to the user using it. As we were doing the video shooting, we were having a couple of issues in regards to the shooting locations, however we were able to find a way to finish the shoot and edit it on time for the final presentation to the industry leaders.

PROCESS

During the last stretch of our development process, we were thinking on how to market our application, since we know that our user will be tech-savvy, we decided to make a quick YouTube video on how the app work in real life.

The next step is the storyboard and scripting. In this project, I decided to take charge and wrote the storyboard as well as the script. This includes the locations selection, actor’s script, camera angle and so on.

The location that we select were BCIT Downtown Campus, Granville Street, and Miku Restaurant. We were having an issue shooting at BCIT Downtown Campus since we need a special request to shoot our school project in the property. Other than BCIT, our shooting went smoothly.

Once the editing was done, we uploaded the video to YouTube for people to watch.

FINAL OUTCOME

The video was able to advertise the mobile application well. It is focused on how the app work and how easy to use the app.
